Excelon KDC-X590 or ARSENAL KD-AR770 HU? Upgradin From Alpine 9803

    Hi,

I am lookin to upgrade my HU (9803) to something with better sound and better preouts. Intested in USB hu's and possable might do a mini itx carpc with touchscreen in-dash monitor. Will these usb hu's allow mass storage(external 60gb hd)? Which would be better buy?

    Thanks

There is one headunit that has a USB adapter that's supposed to accept USB hard drives, but the vast majority don't.

We're always going to suggest putting a PC in your ride. It's what we're all about, after all.

As Darque said, the only HU we know of that has an adapter that will support USB HDD's is an Alpine, there's a post about it somewhere.

Alpine makes the better HU anyways.

I'd deffinately look at the alpine over either a Kenwood or a JVC, but even before that I'd consider a CarPC
