I've got one in the mail to me (at customs right now) that we might consider distributing soon... can't tell much more for the moment though.Originally Posted by psptibby

I cant seem to find a amp with digital inputs that is still produced. It seems all the ones mentioned on here are out of production.
Any places that sell them or newer models?
Isn't the Alpine "Theater Amp" still in production and readily available?
Gen 1: Pentium 3 1GHz - ATX - 2005
Gen 2: Pentium M 1.6GHz - ITX - 2006
Gen 3: Pentium M 2.0GHz - 5.25" SBC - 2007
Gen 4: (coming soon: Core2 Duo - 3.5" SBC - 2009)
...it never ends
Yes Alpine does make an amp that has digital inputs and produces 5.1 channel sound.
I think this cheaper one can do it too
There is a whole thread on digital input amps
Thanks for the links. The searched didn't come up with thoses.
Buy the end of the thread there isn't an awsner to whats best.
Still can't decide now if i should go with like a procosser or a digital amp?
What do most people seem to do?
processor because there's not many options on a digital in amp.
True but you could just use software eq. I know it sucks
So which processor seems to be what people like?
THe clarion with the controller seems to be a good bang for the buck.
What do you recommend?
Alpine H701 or the Zapco, the clarion is good, but it's not going to have NEAR the controllability of the previous two I mentioned.
It all depends on what you want to do and what abilities you want to have.
Regarding software EQs. I really hope you're not referring to the WinAmp eq...
