just because I don't agree with your wheel choice doesn't mean I won't help you wire up your amps and your subs!

you probably do the same thing to your friends...

you hang out with them, you joke with them, you do a lot of things with them, but when they make what ou view as a poor decision, you raz them about it.

I sincerely dislike bling, I'm just pretty much stating that, that's all.

Thats Cool Red I never took what you said to heart any how. I hate bling too but I love my wheels looked alot better than when I had the 20"s of the same wheel not in chrome. So back to my diagram What do you think? appart from it being pretty.

Something that should be considered in this situation, are your subs in seperate enclosures, or are they in a shared enclosure. If they are in a shared enclosure, running them off 2 separete amplifiers can result in phase cancellation (or less output). UNLESS the gain levels are identical or at least close. However don't trust the gain pots, they can't just be set in the same spot on both amps and expect that the output level is identical.

If they are in a shared enclosure i would opt to use the amp strapping ability of the amps and wire the subs in a series - parallel configuration, which would give you the 2 ohm load you need.

Even if your subs are in separate enclosures i would probably still strap the amps. When most amps are strapped only the gain, crossover, bass boost, etc. on the "master" amplifier are active. That means that you don't have to worry about matching the settings on both amps, and again you can't always trust that just cause the controls are turned to the same position, it DOESN'T mean the outputs will be the same. Strapping makes the initial setup of your system much easier, as well as later tweeking or troublshooting.

With 2 dual 2ohm subs this will give you a 2ohm load.

If you still want to run the amps non strapped i can give you a couple pointers on how to level match your amps, but i think the strapped configuration is an easier way to go.

P.S. Excuss the messy diagram i did it quickly.

Red at ~80% efficiency at 2500 watts, the amps will actually be pulling ~3125 watts. Also, the car probably isn't running at 12v. But then again, this guy is probably using an 8ga wire kit from walmart.

Philhop, you probably wear too much cologne to smell the insulation burning off of your ground wire. I doubt you have a "faulty" breaker, you probably just hit the ID ten T error. I has to do with the fuse capacitation of the lunar waine drive.

Where I live, the louder your subs are, the more panties you drop. Especially if you have a pack of marlboro reds spun into your sleeve. Chicks must dig your sweet ride. http://www.housetepes.net/sounds/iroc.mp3

Ha Ha nice Nick I agree here. Im changing from a circut breaker to a fixed fuse 300A and changing my wiring to 0ga

Many thanks Darkside for the diagram we are going amp Strapping , and going to 1 Ohm Load. They are both in the same Enclosure If that helps thanks for that diagram would that give me 1 ohm on each sub? I guess it doesnt show me the wiring of the amp.

Just follow the amp strapping diagram in the owners manual and combine it with my diagram.

You would connect the Positive speaker wire (red in my diagram) to either + labeled terminal on your "master" amplifier. The negative wire (black in my diagram) also goes to either + labeled terminal on your other "slave" amplifier.

Now ther are a couple other connections that must be made.

You must connect a wire between either negitive speaker terminal on the amps. Do not forget this as this is what tells the amps to be in strapped mode. The wire is clearly shown in the owners manual diagram so just follow that. Also you must be sure to correctly follow the RCA input diagram, if you don't bad things could happen. Keep it straight which amp is the "master" or positive and which amp is the "slave" or negative (this amp is the negative even though you are connecting to the positive speaker terminal on both).

Pay close attention to note #4 (in the owners manual under the strapping diagram) those settings are important, make sure thats how you have them.

Thats all there is to it.

P.S. Yes this will give you a 2ohm load to the amplifiers. DO NOT FORGET THE BLUE LABELED WIRES IN MY DIAGRAM BETWEEN VOICE COILS. Without them the subs will not play. Just for your own knowledge, you are series wiring the subs to a 4 ohm load each, then parallel wiring them together so it is a 2 ohm load total. You could reverse this process and parallel the sub wiring to a 1ohm load each and then series the subs together to a 2 ohm load. That wiring is a bit more confusing and difficult to diagram, and yeilds the exact same result. I would say that series wiring the subs and then paralleling them is the industry standard in this situation.
