focal versus audison? whos better?

If you believe that people on this forum kiss my ***, you obviously haven't been around here much...lol This is evidenced by your registereing on this board for one purpose and one purpose only....

I only bright it up after speaking to a certain individual earlier. Some things were brought up that made me think about it.

just as a FYI. Most of us dont kiss Red's ***, we have HUGE amount of respect for her and her GTi build. If you think she dosnt know a thing or two you are sadly mistaken, since she has taken a USACi World Championship with her GTi. That in and of itself says something to her having knowledge of car audio. If you had read the forums for a while you would have realised that she does not promote Orca or any company, she just posts what she knows about products that she has used/heard and HAS experience with.

end /rant lol (i hate ppl that join a forum and just start ****, its rather annoying and really gets to me lol)

I'm actually looking to replace an amp this weekend, but not sure what to buy. I have ao 06 tacoma extra cab (not double) and I've got 165 k2p's in the doors. I was looking at audison and focal before, but ended up buying an ARC audio CLXR 4150(extremely good sounding amp, with tons of pure clean power) Only problem is... THE DAMN THING WONT FIT IN MY TACO!!!!! So now I'm back to square one, but I do know that if the arc didn't fit, the Audison wont, so its out of the question (so save your breath hertz). anyone got any suggestions on which way I should go? how will the focal(with only half the power) sound commpared to my arc? how about the steg's, and how big are the stegs? any help would be appreciated.

PS. anyone want a brand new in box arc CLXR 4150?

I've got eton amps (which I'm guessing you never even heard of). they're from the same manufacturer as steg. i like the amps, i also like steg. something wrong with that?

I'll tell you something more: I was the first one on this board that mentioned STEG amps and that they were great!

And furthermore: DO you think you've gotten to her? are you realy that arrogant to think that you're some kind of special guy? The reason why she still posts in this thread is 'cause you don't seem to get rid of your childish way of responding and atacking people....

not much. I'm trying to hide everything (visually), and I dont want to make any
"un-doable" mods to my truck (aka: I'm not going to cut any metal). the only place I have for amps is under the front seats.(unlike the previous tacomas, there is no eseable space under the rear jump seats). height wise, i"ve got around 2.25 inches max, but I could shim the seat up a little, or modify the seats cross-brace and get maybe 2.5"-2.75" of clearance. Width I've got 12"-13" ,and front to back I've got about the same before the amp sticks out from under the seat. I'm pretty sure I can get either the focal FP 4.75, or the steg 4.01 to fit

I'm not very conversant with those amps so I'm not sure what sort of heat dissipation they generate. I've always thought that one needs to provide adequate ventilation for an amp to function properly, especially when driven close to it's max.
