I've got eton amps (which I'm guessing you never even heard of). they're from the same manufacturer as steg. i like the amps, i also like steg. something wrong with that?

I'll tell you something more: I was the first one on this board that mentioned STEG amps and that they were great!

And furthermore: DO you think you've gotten to her? are you realy that arrogant to think that you're some kind of special guy? The reason why she still posts in this thread is 'cause you don't seem to get rid of your childish way of responding and atacking people....
First of there is nothing wrong with you liking Steg amps.
And also I am glad you were the 1st one on this board that metioned steg amps, good for you.
As I have said before I never said that steg amps were bad. I just prefer Audison, as you prefer ETON. Relax it aint that big a deal.

And I don't attack people just Red

by the way I know who eton is>>

"un-doable" mods to my truck (aka: I'm not going to cut any metal). the only place I have for amps is under the front seats.(unlike the previous tacomas, there is no eseable space under the rear jump seats). height wise, i"ve got around 2.25 inches max, but I could shim the seat up a little, or modify the seats cross-brace and get maybe 2.5"-2.75" of clearance. Width I've got 12"-13" ,and front to back I've got about the same before the amp sticks out from under the seat. I'm pretty sure I can get either the focal FP 4.75, or the steg 4.01 to fit
If you got the room you can use the LRX 4.5k
    dimensions are
    7 3/4 x 15 1/4 x 2 1/4
Same power as the focal @ 4 ohms
except when run at 2 ohms it's power is rated at 130x4 compared to the focal which is 100x4 @ 2 ohms

After the dust settles here, I'll probably still go for the LRX 6.sr
Great amplifier, I spoke to my audison rep and he told there is a newer version(LRX 5.1MT) of that amp coming out by the end of this year and he also said it has alot more power than the old 1.

"buy audison, buy audison buy audison"

ok MORON, do you not know how to read or comprehend? I said the audison WONT FIT, so take the damn thing and stick it in your @ss! GEEEEEZUS, some people really never know when to shut up. Steg was too hard to find around here, I found a shop that had helix, but I really haven't heard enought about them, and I cant find anything on the net, so I went ahead and bought the focal 4.75. i'm going to run it bridged at 200rms to my 165 k2p's. I'll let you guys know how it sounds when I get it installed. I still wish I could have learned a little more about steg and helix, but it looks like the germans need to learn a little more about marketing.

Relax. I was just trying to help, but if you don't want it that's fine. just trying to help. No big deal. It's obvious you have a problem with Audison or myself either way No Big deal.

ok, sorry for the moron comment. it just gets frustrating when poe[le reply without really paying attention to what was said in the first place, but no excuses, I apologise. and I actually do like the audisons, they're beautiful and do sound amazing, I just already know they wont fit(which I stated in my first post).
so who actually makes steg, and how good are the helix amps I passed on?

The only thing I have left to resolve is the sub and sub amp. I'm thinking of going with a downfiring sub in a sealed box behind the drivers seat. I dont care about rattling my license plate or making ears bleed, I just want to finish out the sound range and have a a good clean sounding system. anyonehave suggestions on whether an 8" will be enough, or should I go with a 10"? any specific brand suggestions? its an 06 extra cag tacoma so space is an issue.

    stegs are made by......

    ready for this?

    steg!

    btw - go with a 10"

8"s are not ment for sub bass. They are more for fill.

You won't get the lower notes that you need out of an 8"
