The prices i posted are used.
You can always price match for sounddomain and a brand new IDMAX can be had from speedsound which will drop it to around ~300 bnib.

still seems a bit high - Rainbow speakers, best you can find $200?

Doesn't make much sense there, not to mention you're lowballing like mad on the Rainbows....lol

I have a 3000GT VR4 too, I'd recommend a good set of Infinity Kappa Reference 6.5 components for the front. Either mount the tweeters in that crappy cup that the stock tweeter comes in (big PITA) or cut a small hole and mount them in the door. MUCH better imaging in this location. I have a set of kappa reference 6x9's in the back (693.5i?) Had some problems installing those, as the clearances aren't the same on a VR4 as they are on a VR4 Spyder, wound up doing a non-ideal surface mount because I didn't feel like waiting. They sound very good, and I still have good bass reproduction. I'm currently only limited by the stupid Audigy2 NX.....might have to ditch that this winter. Check the 3Si.org boards too......Good luck! D

VR4 - do you have any experience with any other speakers?

If this user is looking for the best possible imaging, door locations will not sufice.

I'm saying to get the best set of rainbows you can find depeding on how much money you have. In the forums you can usually find SLCS for around 200 + shipping.
