has anyone heard of The Loudest.com???

after much waiting and anticipation, it would seem that my directed monoblock has once again fried itself, everythings wired up as per the instructions, two ohm speaker load, both checked out with a DMM, all the power and ground leads are good. it was bought as a reconditioned unit, now who knows how long it has been in someone elses spl car being caned?
I'm considering an '8000 watt' mono from a company called the loudest.com, i've done a bit of research on their specs and it actually looks quite good on paper. obviously the 8000watt bit is B.S. but they're quoting a nice healthy RMS value at 2ohms, and the SNR is actually better than my current amp, i was just wondering if anyone has had any experince with their units. they're only £250GBP and it makes me a little suspicious as to it bein too good to be true!

any help would be much appreciated!

or possibly any suggestions for any other amp that would be able to annihilate my eardrums, my subs are orion h2 12" 2ohm dvc

it's really 1900wRMS. Retails at 1495 pounds. Man that is some serious cash. Red would probably be the best person to talk to about it. 250 pounds on ebay sounds dodgy tho considering the retail price.

when you compare the £250 to the £1100 that it would have cost me for the 2400d it does seem rather cheap and suspicious

If it's in the UK maybe you could go and have a look at it, just to put your nerves at ease.

i've spoken to someone who has used one and says its ok for the money, just gonna wait and see how long it takes directed to fix my amp, it only took them five months to obviosly get it wrong last time.
a quality service for 180 pounds don't ya think? they're b*****ds and use all their own components, so you cant get them repaired anywhere else except at their own repair centre.
i know a guy who's really good with amps and stuff and he knew exactly what was wrong with it but he said that the parts were only available from the manufacturer, and that they said that they couldn't sell the part to him.

The page states it has a max current draw of 240 amps.

    so, we have 240 amps x 12 volts x .82 for efficiency = 2361.6 watts.

    240 amps x 14 volts x .82 for efficiency = 2755.2 watts.

It's a hair over rated, but not bad. more or less it's just rounded off I'd say.

If it's just a sub amp, i'd give it a try. Reminds me of the USAmps US2000 I had back in the day. Beast of an amp.

    that's one reason I think it's a feasible amp.

btw - I never use eBay as any kind of gauge.

most people don't know what good products should cost, there are far fewer people out there that are willing to pay for a good product or who are looking for a good product. As such, getting a good price for both seller and buyer for high end equipment is almost nonexistent on eBay.
