@ those few audiophiles over here

thought I finaly had made up my mind. But since I have a very small trunk and still have to be able to use it, I don't know if I should put in a sub.

So maybe now I was thinking of putting a couple of 8" under the backseat or something. I was looking at a couple of PEERLESS MDS08's what do you think? would 2 of these be enough to generate sub-frequencies of about 30-40Hz?

Check out elemental design 6" subs. Those are fun to play with. They may seem deceiving but they pack a mean punch. My buddy bought them for the hell of it and made a quick ported box for them, and they rivialed his 10" sub. They'd probably be a lot easier to find a way to install them.
    Just a suggestion

would mean importing them, thus a high cost. the peerless ones I can get for 60euro's each. Peerless is wellknown for it's home-audio and has started modding there own speakers for the car-environment. even EXACT!-audio now uses peerless (or was it vifa?) now (with there own logo that is), just like macrom used to work with morel years ago.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with that exact driver, but Peerless drivers in general are known for their excellent bass output.

I am familiar with the Peerless 8" XLS, HDS, and Exclusive drivers and they would be great if you can fit them in the location you want to.

Do you know what type of enclosure you will be using them in and/or how much internal volume you will have available in the enclosure? Sealed, Ported, IB, etc?

Here are a few links that may be of interest:

    Good luck!

the enclosure will be sealed. the problem with the sub i was going to get is that it needed a mountingdepth of at least 15cm. and although it only needed an enclosure of about 14litres it would have been a problem if i still want to use my trunk. the MDS08's need an enclosure of about 14litres sealed each, too, but since they only need a mountingdepth of 10cm's i can fit the into a false floor or under my backseat (in combination with a false floor if i wouldn't have enough space under the backseat only)
