Want to Add a Sub to Altima

    Hi,

I have a 2003 altima 2.5S. I replaced the two fronts with Pioneer 6.5" TS-G1641R speakers. The sound difference is amazing compared to stock and am hooked on car audio and improving my system.

Sorry if this question has been asked a billion times. I was wondering what it would take to hook up a sub? What brand would be recommended for the sub, amp, enclosure, any other components needed.

I want it to be on the cheaper side/middle range. Would it be good starting out with one sub, with having the ability to hook up a second sub. So does that mean a 2 channel amp. Or can a mono amp drive two subs.

I have read that two 12" subs is just as good as a 15" sub. Is this true. Im a bit confused on amps. Would one 12" sub suffice? Ahh so many questions and I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Any help is greatly appreciated.

thread moved to the appropriate forum

also, you might consider hitting up a dedicated car audio forum for such a question.

It's not that you won't get an answer here, it's that you're more likely to get one on a dedicated forum and more likely to get one quicker.

i'd suggest going to your local car audio shop to have your questions answered possible even to purchase your equiptment as well. they get paid to answer your questions so they'd be happy to help you
