    Well i possed it both as a joke and an answer.

    I was actually considering it for a set up for my friend. I mean if you can have a drop down screen on the ceiling...why not an HU as well.

    if its done right, a drop down from the roof would be awesome (like for the RUX 701) lol, make it look OEM and like the normal ceiling

    that would be very neat to do lol (pain in the *** most likely, but very neat idea)

    kinda like the second one lol, i was thinking more of a drop down kind of spring loaded thingy (for the RUX controller which wouldnt need to be accessed that much). like on some cars they have the sunglasses drop down box that drops down if you push on it to release the latch

    i put mine in the glovebox and added a wired remote to control the volume

    for my sony headunit
    project in the works....no worklog but i will post a completed thread.

    Starting to sound like a cool idea! Maybe you can buy a overhead console w/ that feature form ebay? And just cut out the part you need.

    Thats very similar to my setup with my rux-c701 except I made a new pod for it to fit into. Plus the fact that its only an inch thich and has the cabling for locating it into odd places was key.
