he didn't give a budget... so what i would suggest: a pair of helix blue 52's or even better, 62's up front. Helix deep blue as sub, and a nice 4-channel amp to go with that. Ow, and ofcaurse, a cable-set and you'll be ready for aprox $400

edit: I see you're in need for a HU too, but that's already been said what you should look for.

There it is. Its a very tight budget. Plus since he is posting here for advice I doubt he even knows about Helix.

He was about to buy some $39 sony's. So he's a little new at this. I fully agree w/ SuprchargdMazda on the front stage! If you are not dead set on buying 4 speakers, please look into some better fronts. You will be much happier! I left the amp for the front out because of price. The alpine has plenty of power for the 5.25" Eclipse. I would save up for a better/cleaner amp for the fronts speakers. Buy it now and you will be over budget.

don't want to diss the guy, but if he doesn't know about helix (or any other renomated car-audio brand) he should stick with those craptastic sony's only thing is: there's more (and better) to get for even that little money! red said to me in a few topics back Audio-System was double in price in the US we pay overhere in Belgium.... but stiil he would get a nice install even for his budget! asuming it IS actualy double the price, i have a nice setup for the guy.

    Audio-System MX165plus compo ($125)
    Audio-System MX12 sub ($75)
    Audio-System TWISTER f2-190 ($275)
nice set of cables to wire it all up and he's done!

if he listens to that, he'll slap himself for ever even THINKING about buying sony!

Very true! I'm in Cali and things are way to over priced. But remember IC-C30, the Brand names you have over there, will most likely never make to our stores. Can't expect all americans/mexicans(Me) to know your brands. Even the high end cars shops over here maynot know those names.(let alone a newcomer) They know what brands are winning the local spl and sq contests. And that what sells here. Any higher end store will not give this guy the time of day.

I expect Audio-System will be in stores in the US (and maybe even MEX?), 'cause the amps red has (STEG) are from the same manufacturer(GT-Trading).

edit: but if not, there are other options too. MTX, GZ, ....

in our stores, there's always a mix from low budget to high-end and everything in between. you're not gonna tell me it's different overthere?

edit: and now i'm realy of to bed! it's almost 10AM over here....
