Thinking of using focal power dual mono amps... how to do 5.1?

... or should I not bother with surround sound?

I'm building speak with me demo car number 2.

Demo car number 1 is my daily driven g35, pics of that are here:

the g35 used the alpine pxa-h701, an alpine dva-9860 headunit, a mcIntosh main amp and a JL sub amp and a shuttle in the trunk, and a xenarc in dash screen.

This next car will be using a much smaller computer... and I am thinking no extra signal processer, but just hook up the focal amps right to the computer.

I think this would work... wanted to check with the crowd here if it would...

you would be able to set it up like any other 5.1 system if I'm not mistaken.

The amps are able to be linked and controlled directly VIA the PC.

However, I personally don't see any purpose for 5.1 in a car. however, some people really want to try for it, more power to them.
