I am looking for a car deck that has GPS and HDD

    Hey guys,

I am looking for a car deck that has a GPS built in and a Hard Drive for storing music....

I have been looking at the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 for some time now but the price on it not really great....

Anyone know of any other decks out there that might accomplish the same

The car audio forum is dedicated to integrating your car audio system with your CarPC.

For specific questions related to car audio equipment systems that do not include CarPCs, I would recomend checking out car audio specific forums:

    et. al.

There is a chance that someone on here might have an answer for you, I would just hate for you to wait around for it when I know you could get an answer much quicker on a dedicated forum.

    Good luck.

You're in the wrong forum. Do you go to McDonald's and say "Can I have a medium-well filet mignon with Ceasar salad on the side?"

This forum is Car Audio as related to installing a PC in your car.

As far as your original question, to my knowledge, the Z1 is your only option if you don't want to do the CarPC.

I'm guessing that you completely skipped over my post up above didn't you.

I'm also guessing that you didn't read the sticky at the TOP of this forum either, did you?

    sparticus:

I was going to do the Z1 a month ago and ended up doing a carPC for about $550 shipped through the classifieds on these forums. I'll never go back to a regular head unit for anything but straight audio.

My PC does everything the pioneer unit does and then some. Upgrades are typically just software away, and everything is completely customizable. If the HDD goes out, buy a new one, no big deal.
