    Speakers turning on and off...?

Got a quick question and can't find it asked anywere else...I know just some basic car audio stuff and installed everything in my car myself and have now run into a little problem.

I have a JVC headunit that drives all four of my speakers, two pioneers in the back and the stock speakers in the front. I also have a 15" MTX driven by a 800 watt Lanzer. The problem is with the two front stock speakers...Both of them just randomly come on and off independently when ever they want to (more off than on) It happens randomly, not when I hit bumps or anything like that. I ripped the back of my unit apart to check for bad wiring and everything seems fine. I haven't done anything to the front two speakers other than connecting it to the harness. The thing that I don't understand is why it would be just the front two?

I've read some similar problems where people have said that it may have something to do with the ground, but I haven't touched the ground from the stock stereo, and everything worked fine for about a year...

Also, I have tried swapping out the speakers to make sure it wasn't the speakers and the working speakers didn't work anymore

Forget it, don't care anymore. I would also suggest getting rid of the CAR AUDIO thread if nobody will give help about CAR AUDIO. I don't see anything that relates to a computer in that thread name. I thought this site would know how to help me better than others because it looked like people knew what they were talking about but didn't know they all had sticks up their asses.

we ARE willing to help.... only thing is you probably might find a quicker and more satisfying answer on true car audio forums.... that's all there is to it, so don't get tacky, because you don't have any reason to be...

and why would we get rid of the car audio subforum? car-audio that's been driven by a pc instead of a regular head-unit isn't car audio anymore to you? get a grip will ya and stop bashing this GREAT forum!

and by the way: there's maybe nothing computer-related in the thread-name.... GUESS WHAT THE DAMN STICKY IS FOR, YOU FOOL!

the only thing on this whole website that I have found that had anything to do with the fact that this is ONLY a computer forum is the one thread out of the hundreds of them. Second, the only computer reference from that thread name is MP3, which I coincidentally can play through my ipod which plugs into my headunit and through burned cd's, which really doesn't have to do with anything with a computer in the car. And lastly, I'm guessing that both of you that decided to flame me could have both answered my question within minutes and it would have all been over. The sticky thread said that I would get an answer a lot quicker through a different site, but it didn't take long for you guyz to get ****ed off.

Also, if you read my comment above I said that this site was great for the hour or so that I spent on it looking for the answer to my question...just the fact that people would rather get mad at the fact I apperently broke a cardinal rule I didn't know about, this site does seem great with a lot of knowledgeable people. And, there are a lot of other threads that have something to do with car audio without computers and these people aren't getting flamed, sorry my post count is only 4...

you are NOT gettin' flamed at and once again we ARE willing to help you out. in the link I posted above, Red clearly sais we are willing to help you out but that you might find a quicker answer on other forums. this has nothing to do with your post-count of 4. about that other people don't get flamed at as you say...other people aswell are being told they could look on other forums... and if you found only few threads that state clearly this is a carputer forum you should look a little better. every subforum on this board is clearly computer related. (MacCar: people running macs in their vehicle, boat computers: computers you might have or want in your boat, LCD/display: screens. I could go on about this, but I think/hope I made my point....

ow, and no I couldn't answer your question. I don't know everything, just like all other people. some know more about this, others more about other stuff.....

    Let me get this straight.

    1) HU is driving front and rear speakers
    2) Amp driving sub
    3) Front speakers cut out but back speakers and sub keep playing
    4) you replaced front speakers with no change

My guess is the HU internal amp for the front channels is going bad.
