Trouble using AUX on Pioneer DEH-P3500

I just bought this p bus cable (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...:EOIBSA:CA:11) so I could use my ipod on my Pioneer DEH-P3500 cd player. But when I plug it in I can't select the AUX fuction on my cd player. My manual says I have this feature but I can't seem to turn it on. Does anyone know what to do?

Or they could even RTFM. There's an entire section on the aux source.
