Speaker wire to ground amps etc?

Ive just about finished my install and have a reasonable amount of high quality large guage shieled oxy free speaker cable left. I was wondering if this cable would be suitable to use to earth the caseing of my amps and inverter ? The amps and inverter are already wired with decent guage wire for both earth and +12v but im now following the FAQ here to remove any background noise.

Im hoping this cable will be suitable as it will save me having to go and buy more cable to get my install finished. Cheers guys

That should be fine provided they're not the only ground.
