On a 2 channel amp that I plan on bridging, do I need BOTH rca ins?

I dunno, I didn't design the amp. On all 4 Rockford Fosgate, and all 3 MTX amps I've had you need both L and R channels hooked up. Unplug one, volume goes down....

I don't recall you actually saying what kind of amp you have... A FEW have a a bridging switch that would probably eliminate the need for both inputs...

Bottom line

If it says you need both, you need both

Ok then what about this, I still have 1 input signal going to it, but I split it to 2 (using a 1-female-in 2-male-out adapter) will that fix it?

And also, does splitting an rca like that cut voltage 50%?

quit with the godamn attitute already ****. Im asking questions on an online forum where I was hoping to get answers, not from some ****in jun06 noob being a dick. ive got many different options on how to do this setup, so obviously im going to do what will sound the best. Maybe you dont have much hand on trial and error experience, but some people do.

That should work.

I'd say it's more like 1/4th of the volume....

what has the join-date to do with me being a noob or not.... been in to car-audio for the past few years..... I like to do things the right way first-off, rather dan constant trial and error.... research my friend....

but hey, do as you please.... I mean, it's not my install so why should i give a **** hmmmmm
