Depends on power... sometimes you can get more power with two 2ch amps.

I suggest maybe getting a slightly more powerful amp for the front speakers so that you have crisp sound in the front and good fill from the rear

Overall there is no difference between a 4ch and a dual 2ch system when properly set up.

Why not unplug the rear speakers?

    Cuz thats just depressing....

But if you have an HU, you could run the front off the amp and the rear off the HU...

but rear fill = annoying. Your diagram above is correct, wiring 2 4ohm drivers in parallel will lower the resistance in half to 2ohms per channel. As long as your amp is capable of running 2ohm leads per side you'll be fine. Alot of 2ch amps now a days are stable to 2 ohms. The only downside from this setup is the fact you lose the fading capabilities which many people really don't care for all that much anyhow.

Dont forget the sound quality downside...

Get a second 2 channel or get a 4 channels... Your carpc will allow you to setup the rear fill right...

My next set up will hopefully have 6ch audio... i dont think rear fill is bad but its good to have the ability to adjust if you need it. Fade can be very handy at times.

Meh, i didn't exactly mean it's bad. It's just VERY VERY hard to stage it correctly to sound good. You obviously don't want them too high, and you don't want it to get the higher frequencies....again, it's all personal preference...i don't like rear fill all that much.

Sure, you could just get another 2 channel like the other guys/gals said. Remeber to run a reference ground from the head unit to the amp ground to eliminate a ground loop (alt whine)!

4 channel amp to 10 speakers in School Bus

We bought a school bus and we want to hook up radio and TV for it

We have 50 ft of space. We have a 36 inch flat screen TV
and we have a 4 channel Amp

Our thought is we would mount 10 speakers

Starting 5 ft from the front with a speaker on each side every 8 ft

Could anyone suggest how to hook it up and do you think the 10 speakers would be enough

    Thank you
