Yeah, that would have been good diagnostic info to have.

no the sound was comming from tweeters the woofer was shorting internally casuing all the problems

so your front components and subwoofers are powered by the same amp?

no nothing was wrong with subwoofers. the 6.5" component woofer was bad and causing all speakers on 4ch amp to generate static

So you never got static out of the sub and no sound was coming out of the tweeter even though you said the static was coming from "all speakers".
