1 - Common sense would dictate that you research about products before you purchase, so that you don't feel stupid for having bought a piece of crap. And yes, I think it's a piece of crap, but only because no-name car audio gear usually is crap.
2 - MP3car is all about installing PCs in our rides. It's far more rewarding and far more flexible than one of these units. You'd be better off Googling the model number or checking a forum devoted to car audio hardware.

Did you buy it as a player to install as is, or as a front end for a carpc?
That is a 2din tft based headunit with an AV DVD drive, not a car sized PC VGA monitor with a DVD rom drive. The majority of people here are building PCs to replace everything that does and more. You asked a quesiton about a screen's quality after you bought it, and were told it most likely would not be of good quality for car audio, and almost certainly be useless for a computer monitors which this section of the forum is for.

If you had asked it in the car audio section, it would have been more relavent, but I think the response would have been similar.
This is a forum run and used by intelligent people, that doesn't mean book smarts, but people who learn from experience and testing as well as school and everyone sharing that knowledge to advance the community.

Search for what you need, if you can't find it, then ask. If the question is reasonable, so will the answer be, if someone thinks you are being stupid, or lazy, they will tell you. And we expect people to be grown up enough to suck it up and no throw their toys out of the playpen.

    Look, facts are facts.
The fact is, mp3car forums cater to people who put computers in their cars.
Another fact is that you're far more likely to get a faster answer on a forum that focuses more on these types of units.

I'm sorry you don't like these facts, but that doesn't change a thing. If pointing out a better way to get information you seek isn't helpful, then that's your problem.

As to my assessment of your situation and what you purchased, it will stand.
I think it's a decided lack of common sense to try to find out about a product's quality after you purchased it.
I also believe that the vast majority of no-name car electronics sold on EBay are crap. I also speculate that you will find this out in the not-too-distant future.

Skraggy_UK is correct. This should have been posted in the car audio subforum. As such, it has been relocated.
