    First Time - Carputer

    Hi all,

I'm going through my first project and have a question about Car Audio. My carputer has a 5.1 Audigy in it, that was used for gaming etc until it got replaced; now I have installed it in my car PC. At the moment, I have a standard car audio system (4 basic speakers [1 in each door] and a CD player/radio at the front), nothing special.

What do I need to do to wire up a 3.5mm cable that will link to the soundcard? Will a single 3.5mm cable be able to distinguish left/right speakers when playing music etc? If not, what is my best option?

    Help appreciated.
