Hi everyone,
I'm stumped... if someone can help me I'd appreciate it...
Current Configuration:
I have a VIA Epia Sp13000 Mobo, I'm using the SPDIF out to Tos Link into H701
I have enabled the SPDIF feature by changing the jumper switch on the mobo & via software.
I have also selected the input Setting of Digital 2 on the H701 via teh CUX controller.
I'm not getting any sounds at all... can somone help me?

nvm fixed... bad optical cable
have you updated the drivers? there is also a link to a how-to somewhere on this forum. do a search, i ran into the same problem, it's an easy fix but you do need the correct drivers and some other app.

Hi, I have converted the optical in on my H701 to coaxial, I just removed the optical to coaxial converter on the H701 and feed the H701 w/ coaxial digital directly, works great w/ SB x-fi PCI card but not w/ the onboard digital out of my EPIA board, no sound at all. U are talking about a solution above, can U help me? Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I would love some help here.
two small thing:
1. voltage level conversion might solve your problem with integrated sound, the signal's strength might not enough for the receiver
(Coax to TTL)
2. if you connect directly the spdif signal from soundcard to the receivers pin, this can cause groundloop and noise problems. an 1:1 line transformer is the best solution between them...

quick question... since you can use optical from carputer to H701, and basically have the H701 as close to the amplifier as you want.... does this mean almost 0 chance of ground-loop from running a long RCA cable from front of car to back among all the car's electrical?
