you could use some liquid nails to glue in some 2x4 blocks to take up some air space.
Thanks in advance to all who respond.
It seems that I may have an enclosure (mdf ring - 'glass enclosure) with too much airspace. My question is, is it ok to fill some areas around the inner parimeter and if so, what is recommended?

how have you determined that you have too much air space?
was this an enclosure built for a different sub initially?

Instead of doing the "peanut" method, I calculated the air space. Afterwards, I was given some peanuts so I checked it with that method and that's when I discovered I had too much space (and yes, my wife DID tell me so beforehand but being a hardhead, I wanted to prove her wrong...now I must live each day in humiliation).
No flames please; I'm getting enough at home![]()
hehe - hey! it happens!
how much too big is it? If we're talking about a smaller percentage of the whole, leave it...a bigger enclosure on that scale isn't that big of a deal...might even be adventageous. Have you listened to it yet?
