Help Choosing a Head Unit.. Please..

Cool.. As long as its not better because its has useless features I wont need in my situation, I'm sold on it..

I'll probably order it tonight..

I'm a SQ-guy, so the less useless features, the better

but I'm ripping out the HU in a matter of time to replace it with only a car-pc, I'll use a HQCT for radio instead.

Me too.. I dont care if the display is in color and animated and if the head unit will serve me a cup of coffee. I just want it to do its job and sound good..

If you really want SQ, forget the HU, really.... unless you're willing to spend $$$ on a good one.

HQCT is a special radio-module from datalex/XtroniC that can be implemented with your carputer.

One last question, I promise!

I went back and looked at the specs between the two again (Clarion vs Kenwood).. You mentioned better SNR and broader freq. response. These two ratings are for CD play back right?

Since I really wont be playing CDs much since I have the CarPC, the only MAJOR difference between the two units then is 19w vs 22w per channel, right?? And 3w per channel really isnt going to make a difference (well, atleast a difference that is worth $40)??

Ow, and a HU that serves me couple of cups of coffee would be nice actually. Now I always have to stop at the gas-station or something to get my coffee for the road

SNR and frequencyresponse are soundwise and have to do with the internal amp. And since the internal amp is supporting CD aswell as the radio, SNR and Fr will go for that too....
