Well for a subwoofer you need the following things : Subwoofer, Amplifier, Power Wire, Speaker wire, remote wire, signal cable, and an enclosure.
You seem pretty new so I'll try to make this easy...
-As far as the enclosure, or the box goes, I'd buy a prefabricated box or have somebody make it for you who knows what their doing. Most local audio shops make boxes, and prefabs are easy to find on ebay.
-If you bought a 12'' L7 then you're going to want about 800W of power, and if you bought a 15'' then you'll want about 1000 or maybe a little more. If you haven't purchased an amplifier yet, you'll need one that fits the above power requirements. I suggest a Class-D amplifier, they have only a single output, which makes the wiring the easiest. Keep in mind that your L7 has dual 4-Ohm voice coils, so wired in parallel you will get 2 Ohms of resistance, so make sure when picking out an amp that the output matches the power needed by the subs at 2 Ohms. A lot of amps advertise their output at the lowest resistance because it's the greatest, so a "1000W amp" might only be 500W when wired to 2 ohms. Other than that, pick whatever brand you want, feel free to post it here after you've made a decision and we'll tell you what we think of it.
Do you need a compactor? Not unless you have a lot of trash that needs to be pressed into a cube, I don't know how this has anything to do with your subwoofer. Sarcastic replies aside, I'll assume you're talking about a capacitor? No, you don't need one.
