    4k hu?

For a COMPLETE system? Installed and everything or 4k for equipment only?

If it's 4k for equipment only, then yes, I'd say it's a start. For 4k for install AND equipment, it's going to be a tough sale.

What with all the wiring, distribution, terminals, fuses, speaker wire, heat shrunk, loom, etc.....all of these things MUST be considered when looking to get 'the best in my city'.

Also, you need to specify what 'the best' is.

are you looking for bling? are you looking to impress just anyone or are you looking to impress people who actually know their stuff? are you looking for sound quality or are you looking for SQ?

You also need to understand that this site is dedicated to CarPCs. we're willing to help (well most of us anyways) but you have to understand where you are before you go asking for help. If you know this and are aware of it, then we can continue.

yeah, the equipment is only half the battle, installation is the key to great sound.

for some reason, I don't think this guy is overly concerned with the quality of the sound.

ok - so good overall sound. That's deffinately a start.

as for HUs, I can't advise as I haven't had a HU in my car for close to 3 years now.

As for speakers and amps...I'll stand behing the Steg amps any day. They are rock solid and are SEVERELY under rated. I'm running a K-Competition 4|01 and a 2|02 and I'm getting ready to add another 2|02 in there as well.

They are around 800-1000 a pop for the amps. http://www.steg-america.com/models/k_series/k201.htm

Else, you can go with the Twister series, which are little beasts in a small case. http://www.audiosystem-america.com/products/f2_190.html

Don't be fooled by their ratings. I have heard story after story after story about those bad boys out powering amps with twice the claimed power output.

They are relatively inexpensive and pack a big punch.

For speakers, if you're looking for volume as well as good sound, I'd recomend the Kevlar Focals: http://www.focal-america.com/Product...r/k2power.html

The 165 K2P offers incredible response down low and is highly efficient.

Couple that with a single (or dual if you have the cash) 33KX and you'll have all the volume you could want.

On that note, what vehicle is this going into and are you doing the install or are you paying someone else to do it.

    I know, I know, I know....

    but did you HEAR one?

apparently, most dealers are absolutely floored when they take the little baby and put it on a set of speakers in their wall.

Keep in mind...not every other culture views things the same way Americans do...
