    2 battery setup help

i have a 1999 chevy malibu with a factory alternator and i was wondering if i get a gell cell battery for the trunk and use a regular battery for the car and use an isolator in between the 2 batteries will it burn up my factory alternator? im a beginner when it comes to car audio stuff and i been using a 2 farad capacitor until someone told me that im doing it wrong and i need to run 2 batteries and he suggested i should buy a gell cell battery from him. i forgot to mention im running a JL Slash-Series 1000/1 amp and a pair of JL 12" W6 subs.

read that first. then ask questions. use the search function on here too. there are lots of threads that answer your question. This has been covered too many times.

check www.hellroaring.com , they make the best isolators if you really want to do it right... you could also do a real simple system with just a solinoid...
