guitar amp in car

hahahaha....

Really the car was a POS. There were rust holes through the door. I gave the car to my sister and when the exhaust fell off my buddy and I wanted to put glass packs on it. Instead we DID put a chrome exhaust tip on. it was good for at least -3 hp.

It was more of a joke car than anything, but it was my first car. I wish I had pix.

ok, I´m gonna aproach this from anothen angle.

I exchange the bass amp for a regular car amp. but I dont want to have a car stereo, but I will connect my ipod, portable dvd and of course my bass.

could the car amp do this?

Yes, but you'll need some way to use multiple input sources (DVD player, iPod, headunit).
A headunit w/ AUX in will cover the car stereo and one source (iPod or DVD). If you get a headunit with DVD playback and and AUX input, then you're set. It should also have a screen to watch the DVD playback, as well.
You can also get a headunit (without a screen) that has multiple AUX inputs and have both an extyernal DVD player and an iPod as external sources.

I don't even really get exactly what you're trying to do...

Are you trying to make your bass guitar play over your car speakers in addition to your regular stereo. For example you have your regular head unit with radio and CD playback, and then you put it into AUX mode and plug in your guitar? Or are you just trying to use a guitar amp instead of a regular amp for your car speakers and regular head unit?

yes, I want to be able to conenct a bass guitar, but I dont want a car stereo (or head unit)

at first i wanted to use a bass amp and hookit to the car speakers. but it seams unpractical if you can get the car amp to do the same thing.

but i´ll need something to EQ.

I can feel the headache coming, hehehehe

I did the same thing starting out.

Just excited about getting into audio. I ended up taking the POS apart to learn how it worked once it broke....lol

So you don't want a stereo in your car at all? No radio or cd or anything? You just want a way to make your bass guitar play over your car speakers?

Interesting...

I guess just buy an inverter and power your regular bass amp off of it. Then your only problem will be figuring out how to get your bass amp to output to the car speakers, which shouldn't be too hard.

so you want to be able to drive around without music. Then, when you stop, you want to be able to play your bass?

why?

just get a new VW. They already have the 1/4" jack for it....lol

hahaha, why does everything has to be white or black.

i dont wanna have a radio in the car. I want to be able to plug an ipod, a portable dvd, my bass guitar, a walkman, a mic and any other sound making gizmo with a jack in it. but no head unit radio.

is it that weird?
