it works, but has its limitations. you can't add more then what's there, it'll only make what is there accessible.

check out knuconceptz web site for a tutorial IIRC

do 2 batteries affect the wiring of the big 3

but does it have to be wired differently with two batteries?

all the big 3 does is reinforce the power cables from the alternator and such with a larger gauge cable, so I don't see why it would affect how you wire a second batt

just wanted to know if it could still be done in consideration that i have an isolator and a battery in the rear separate for the system alone

yeah, it can still be done correctly, if you look at what the Big 3 really does... all it does is, add a lets say 0gauge cable from the alternator to the batt in adition to the stock cable, then run a new 0guage cable from the battery to the chassis, then run a new oguage ground from the chassis to the engine/mounting bolt on the alternator.

Basically all its doing is reinforcing the cables that are already there, i don't see how this affects your second battery, other then giving it more room to breath...

And sorry, I'm from Long Island, and unfortunatly don't know anyone that knows the difference between there boombox and a mcintosh.... I do everything myself with help from the internet.

Basically get some big cable and go wild

not an expert here by any means, but surely if your gonna be upgrading your alternator, you should be doing the big3 anyway. so why not start with the big3

It does make a big difference on some setups.

Basically it allows your system to push out its near maximum potential. Forget a capacitor 90% of the time, the big three is usally needed for systems running high wattage and dimming headlights.

On my car it isnt the big three, its more like the big 5. Since the battery is just behind the headlights underneath the airbox and tucked away its hard to get at it, so my car requires more work.

1 Wire from battery positive to battery terminal jump point
1 wire from positive jump point to alternator positive
1 wire from negative battery terminal to negative ground chassis point/jump point
1 wire from battery negative terminal to engine block
1 wire from Battery negative to another spot on the chassis just for added benefit.
