Am i missing anything in this diagram?

Here is what I came up with so far...I'm going to get started on this in the next day or so...Thoughts? its a rookie diagram for sure

The sound card is the Live! 24bit external, which is powered from USB, no need to go external power for that.

Looks good except I don't know why you are putting your touchscreen on a switched power source. Unless your touchscreen doesn't have a power button or you won't have access to it after you install it, there is no reason to switch that power source. Also the cigarette lighter should already be fused.

I'd put it on a switched source. It's a nuisance to always have to turn your screen on. Why not let your car do it. Set your screen to auto on and when the ignition turns on, screen turns on. I would recommend another method too, but its more complex and you are fine.

I wouldn't worry about CAPs at the moment. They are one of those additions for when you have money burning a hole in your pocket and you don;t knwo what to do with it. Better to opt for a Big 3 upgrade instead.

Kudos for doing a diagram. it will help you keep thigns organized.

I agree. In my old car I had my screen running off a switched output of the OPUS unit. My screen doesn't have auto on but when the computer turns off I know that screen will go off also. I've accidently left the screen on before. One day you'll be in a rush and forget to turn it off.

one question though, should I have a switch up by the driver seat to turn the carPC on/off also? What if i want to drive the car around but have the carpc off?

that's totally up to you. it could be handy for a reboot, but it's not needed.

I agree, If you power your screen off of your power supply, given that you get the right PSU then you'll have a regulated power source giving you cleaner power to the screen

And a switch for main power for your computer may not be a bad idea, given you need to shutdown the pc after it froze. But when using switches, it may be best to use a relay, depending on the amount of current running through the wires.
