Popping kind of sound (static?) from carPC

I have the carPC mounted, both amps and all speakers running. Whether the car is running or not I get a strange kind of static/popping sound that alternates between right/left channels...almost like a bad MP3 ripped file. I checked all the grounding, looks good....Do i need to ground the actual carPC case itself?

BTW, the sound is only when audio is playing.

Failed to say that at one point the static/popping wasnt there, couple days ago...i'm just wondering what stuff should be grounded outside the norm.

right-o. One amp is on a sub box (made of partical type board) the other is mounted to the rear of a back seat.

what kind of sound card are you running? I had the same problem with a sound blaster usb, it ended up being the input on the usb sound card.
