Audigy 4.
KXproject drivers.
3.5 to RCA cables out to pioneer amps, Then to MB Quart components and 12" sub.
Sounds good and more volume than I will ever need thank-you-very-much!
Cheers

I am beginning my research on how to get good sound quality out of CARputer, so I'd like to know how your setup is made and what audio cards you are running.
Thank you

can't link to searches..
However, you can link to a thread that's located in the Car Audio FAQ that lists off the different external sound cards: Ultimate USB, Firewire, External Soundcard List

Yeah, I know you can't link searches. But it gets the messages across when people click it and are confused and then go back and read the link where it says "SEAR" and realize that I've done nothing more than run a search with "sound Card" and got hundreds of hits.![]()
Audigy 2 NX, replacing with a Philips Aurilium this weekend.
I don't think you're gonna like that one.
I didn't.
Low power output and a very frustrating driver suite. Especially on a 7" touchscreen.
low cost though.......

Not too concerned about the low power output, have a good amp. The screen size can be troublesome in tweaking i agree, but i dont play with it too much after the initial setup. I am just tired of the Audigy not remembering the settings and i have to exit Centrafuse go into the EAX program and set it up.
If the Philips doesnt work well i can always switch back.
cheers.
i'm running a crystal dac for a 'sound card' now but my previous setups were:
sb live 5.1
sb live 5.1 w/kxproject drivers
sb live 5.1 w/kxproject drivers-> audio control 24sx linedriver/xover
alpine pxa-h701
crystal dac -> phaze/butler ldx-23 active x-over
each step has netted an improvement over the previous (still waiting to test the crystal dac but have high hopes for it)
I've always recommended; for a budget system, to look for a sb card that can handle the kxproject drivers and you probably will be happy.
