Amp in a golf mk4, where should I put it?!

    Inputs are much appreciated!

I've never done audio in a car before, I bought this amp for my golf (blaupunkt GTA 475) and I'd prefer to hide it away, only problem is that I don't seem to find anywhere to hide it!

I'd love to see some photos of how people do this, I've been searching now for 6 hours, and I don't find any installation that suits my needs
    Planning: It's not my thing...
Testing: Not really my thing either...
Install: Guess around 60% Software takes soooo long....

there aren't really any standard hidingplaces. You could put it under the passenger seat, but beware of damage that easily could be done to it (people getting in and out without being careful, spilling something, ....)

I'd tell you where to put it, but I'd get banned

Seriously, if you want a simple and fast solution, the back of the rear seats is a good place to put it that's out of the way and accessible. If you are worrying about theft, its your call, but honestly, I wouldn't be too concerned with puting it in a inconscipuous place, it's a blaupunkt, its not likely to elicit a break in.

The under area of the seats in the MKIVs is not a good place for it as there's little to no room and there's a good deal of parts in the way under there. Especially with the way the seats hinge.

There's the area bach behind the read pannels in the hatch area. On the drives side is where they normally put the stock amp and changer. If you still have these units then you're going to have to show off the amp. Unless you want to get rid of your spare.

    Thanks for all the replys!

As RedGTiVR6 says, theres no space under the seats, I've tried - HARD to fit it there

The room in the hatch area, well I thought it'd be THE spot, but it doesn't fit there either...

I DO know it's "only" a blaupunkt, I'm not really afraid it'd get stolen, it's more that I don't really wanna show it off either, I'd prefer to hide it away somewhere, but I'm kinf of running out of options.

Think I'm gonna just screw it to the back of the backseats for now, and worry about it later!

Maybe, for later, chop up the backseat a bit, and install the amp in the back of it with some plexiglass covering it... hmmm...
