ElectriQ is supposed to be a very good EQ according to this thread.
Instead of a polyswitch, I was thinking something more like light bulb. I have seen a few companies use this in their passive crossovers. I'll have to find one with the proper rating to match my tweeter and output power. Problem with this is that it doesn't fitler out the frequencies that would destroy a tweeter, so the real only true way to do it is a passive or another active setup, but then you have the phase shift liek you say. it's a no win situation.Polyswitch for power protection (It does start to compress near the top of its range)
Passive would be a capacitor, either have it below your crossover filter range (for safety) or sum it to your crossover filter (6dB at 90 degree phase shift)
