HELP!! I think i screwwed my electrics

OK ... so i been messing, as you do and think i have broken something.

i couldnt get my amp to power up so i checked the Amp Remote and was working fine.

I decided to unplug the modded multiblock off the harness and hook up my After market head unit but it wouldnt turn on ( i could eject CD's if the ignition was on so definetly power to it.)

i also tried my factory fit head unit and CD auto changer which is in the boot - this was totaly dead.

on closer inspection i have concluded the the 12v perminant live isnt live all the time, only when the ignition is on.

    what have i done?

Sounds like you ran your constant line from an accessory (ignition) output. If the amp only powers when the ignition is on, this must be the case.

I havent touched the original wiring, i wanted to keep it intact so everything is removable

The amp speakers and sub are standard fit (audi Bose) and i have left that well alone

I bought a multi block and attached that to the power. then simply ran the 12v / ignition / amp remote to the boot on new wires attached to this new multi block.

as for the running RCAs to the amp. i used the multi block covertor 'PC9-410'

    http://www.nexxia.co.uk/Car_Stereo_f...ts/Audi/A3.htm

so removing this to connect up the stock HU and spare HU i have was easy.. just they didnt work. or i could only eject a CD but not power up with the ignition on. when testing with a multimeter the perminant live isnt live

ill draw a diagram if that helps

If i unplug the 2 aftermarket harnesses im using to hook up the pc. then connect the stock ones back to the orig HU its dead as the perm live isnt well live. my other HU will just eject the CD but not turn on providing the ignition is on.
