    Amplifier and Sub match?

    If i were to run a Rockford Fosgate PowerT30001bd with 2000 watts RMS with a sub (Rockford Fosgate T215D2) with 2000 watts peak.

    Would that be very smart?

    If not, what would be the best single 15' setup (no limitation moneywise)?

    that can work as long as you set your gains correctly.

    maybe you can blow it up

    Amp is 3000 watts rms at 1 ohm
    sub is 1 ohm when wired in parallel

    or run it in series at 4 ohms and amp will give 1000w RMS at max and just turn down the gain so it doesn't rip to pieces

    SPL = Sound Pressure Level

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_pressure_level

    It's essentially a measurement of how loud something is

    Yes!!!!!!! I love a loaded question. I will be nice and not flame on it though. the problem with this question is there is no answer . Sure if you ask a guy down the street he will tell you brand X is better, and if you ask the guy on the other block he will tell you brand Y will spank anything. Now if you ask a true enthusist and they will tell you that there is no such thing as a better brand. So instead of going with a superior product we are all partial to different brands (I.E. RED Uses Focal and Steg, Scott prefers Tube amplifiers, and I like Zapco). Even though we dont all use the same equiptment we do all have something in common, We all use quality engineered products, and as long as you stay with a reputable company and make a smart purchace. A purchace that is planned for meaning you wont be buying a 100 watt 4 channel amp and a rockford series one woofer to street beat with and wake up your neighbors, cause chances are it isnt gonna happen unless it is one hell of an install. So get a plan together, What do you want the woofer to do do you want to make the people in the car next to you deaf, or do you want accurate reproduction? Then research some product from reputable companys. Then find a couple dealers that sell the product or products that you are interested in. Ask questions, Ask what they would reccomend for your application. So as you see there is alot more to it then what is better the question you should be asking is why are you suggesting brand x for me when you just suggested brand y to the other guy.

    I would like a mixture of sq and spl but if there's no inbetween on these two qualities i guess i'd have to go with the deafining sound of spl
