Centrafuse and Windows Power Setting Conflict?

    Hi guys,

I have been working no my carpc for the last two weeks or so. I am using a compaq presario x1050us laptop as my carpc. I have set the laptop to go into standby after 5 mins of using battery. The power setting works fine in windows and Road Runner but whenever I run Centrafuse, it refuse to go into standby.

Anyone else have the same problem? or David knows of this issue or is it just me?

    Thanks,
    Andrew

very strange... anyone else having this issue? Does it matter what you are running in Centrafuse? If you just load it up, don't load anything, and standby sitting on the main screen does it still do it?

I have the same problem. I have my pc set to hibernate after one minute of being on battery power. I turn the car off with CF running, it won't go into Hibernate. Quit CF, it will hibernate fine after 1 min of turning off the car.

I have to test it some more to see what happens with different scenarios as mentioned above by David. If it helps, the last time, I was listening to mp3's. When I shut off the car, it did stop playing the music, but after that, CF's main menu just stayed on the screen, and it never hibernated.

OK here is as much information as I know.

    • I have a Infill G4
    • I had this problem prior to v1.10 then it was fixed
    • Been running v1.12 now since its release. No problems until about a week ago when it would not hibernate correctly.
    • Thought I could have to much loaded so I did a restart, cleared all playlists, then closed but had same problem.
    • Nothing on my PC has changed.
    • Only thing I can think of is around this time I was playing a video music clip and centrafuse became unresponsive. When it came back it was playing another song OVER the one it froze on. (so 2 songs at once). It would not shut down at this stage. Had to reboot device.
    • I do have hibernate in my settings already so this is not the cause.

I found a solution for this problem...I installed this program http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/soft...-software.html and it works perfectly.

As far as why it doesn't work with windows? I don't know...

@ David: It doesn't matter what I have on the screen, it won't go into standby.

I too downloaded ShutControl and it works great under both XP and Vista. It's a very small program with a very small memory footprint.
