Lightbulb Any UK Luck with the DAB radio?

Hello I Am SOOOOOOO keen on finding a way to get my carpc working with centrafuse DAB Radio, there are options out there now with the usb dongle supplied by maplin but i dont fancy guinee pigging it as i have all ready suffered to much frustration with my car bodykit and install for the time being!

anyone out there help me out and point me in the right direction at all? thankyou

No DAB is supported by Centrafuse right now it seems.. I just started to look into DAB radio myself as I just got a FM USB dongle and wasnt too happy with the quality. And they started to get pretty good coverage in Norway

I saw another thread over @ flux media, and David was asking for a SDK for a DAB USB dongle, so im gonna try to get hold of one. According to worlddab.org there are 500 million people with DAB coverage, so I guess more people want this

with an SDK it would be pretty simple to create a Radio Module...

I've been looking for a DAB USB radio with an API/SDK and so far this is what I've come up with: http://www.multitask-computing.co.uk...roducts_id=306

There's also custom software available for it: http://www.dabbar.co.uk/dabbar.htm

Anybody now of any other units?

I have one of those DAB radio's connected in my car to a Blau Punkt DAB aerial; not that impressed so far, reception is ok, but the radio is slow to tune and I haven't found any API yet and the front end isn't great. I also have found an issue where the device does not like being plugged in via a USB hub, causes a blue screen!

Just thought I'd warn you before you shelled out your hard earned cash; still at least I have a DAB solution albeit a bits pants!

Thanks for the heads up EVO.

Have you tried the dabbar with it? Apperently this application supports changing channels and streaming audio to another source. Might be able to control it via that.
