CF on an Infill G4 & Navigation

Hello. I have an Infill G4 carpc unit purchased here from mp3car.com store. I really like Centrafuse alot better than Streetdeck and actually purchased it. However, I can not get the Navigation on the Infill G4 to work in Centrafuse, even though it works fine in Streetdeck?? The navigation software is part of Streetdeck and is actually Microsoft Mappoint.

Has anyone with an Infill unit gotten Navigation to work in Centrafuse??

    Thanks everyone...

    Hello!

I'm using a G4 with Centrafuse. Works great! I also have other navigation programs running together with CF. Make sure you have set the GPS unit to baud rate 9600, and com port 1. Oh and btw, did you buy XLE? If not, navigation is not included.

No, I did not buy the XLE version because I assumed I could get it to work with Mappoint that is built into Streetdeck. Do I need the XLE version of CF? I did download the Mappoint plugin for CF and it seems installed correctly. What I gather is that CF is not recognizing the siirf gps chip, it's looking for an nmea compatable gps chipset. Hmmm, this is very confusing.

There is a plugin for mappoint, but i havent tried it. You don't need the XLE version to get mappoint to work, but there has been some issues with the plugin. Search the boards for that. I have my GPS set to NMEA, can't get sirf to work.

Yes, this is what is baffeling....the Infill G4 built in GPS works fine within STreetdeck using Mappoint, which is also built into Streetdeck.

But, I installed the Mappoint plugin for CF, but it doesn't work.

Well I think I've read somewhere that the mappoint plugin does not work on the demo version of CF.

Moreover, the very recent G4 needs some drivers updates to work properly.
Especially for the radio, screen tilt, luminosity.

For the GPS outside of retail CF, It was necessary to use a GPS virtual port enabler like XPORT. Otherwise, I had no change at all to use my built in GPS.

With the retail version of CF and the last update 1.47, there was no more trouble

    See if it helps

Has anyone else had any luck?

The MapPoint plugin is not very complete... It currently will only read NMEA... The fully integrated navigation supported by Flux is the XLE version of Centrafuse...

you can email sales to get an upgrade...

also you can embed and use other applications such as iGuidance, there is a plugin for this on the download page as well...
