Centrafuse 1.47 Update
hi all - whats up with this?
my mini-itx winxp incar pc can see the:
1. usb GPS receiver (Haicom)
2. usb vimroco mini webcam
3. usb trinloc dab radio
but these usb peripherals aren't seen by centrafuse 1.20
any ideas welcome - thanks
He might be running the trial Scott - I don't think 1.47 will run in trial mode?
just got back in form night shift - i run paid up version of 1.20 europe xle, will do the 1.47 update this arvo and see if centrafuse identifies the usb devices...
It might be worthwhile to get a note to David that the "1.20 trial version" should just be replaced with a link to the latest version of CF. It'd probably help a couple of the folks sniffing around lookin' to buy.
updated to 147 but i still can't access any usb peripherals... don't say i need to become a c# programmer just to use my gps, webcam and radio...
k, so lets focus on the devices one at a time. The GPS is probably the easiest.
Which Haicom device are we talking about? ref: http://www.haicom.com.tw/product.aspx
Does the GPS show up as a COM port? When you say you can get to it from Windows, what app are you using? If you launch that app from within CF (i.e., add it as an application, don't minimize CF and launch it), does it see the module? What happens if you _do_ minimize CF and launch the app? Does it see it then?
Also make sure only 1 application is using the com port at any given time. So if GPS is on port 4 then only 1 program can access the program on port 4. There are programs that can split port 4 to ports 5 and 6 so 2 applications can use the same info at the same time.
