Need to tweak soundcard settings when switching between Media and XM...

I have an Auzentech soundcard that runs on Creative drivers and software. What I'd like to be able to do is make changes to the sound settings in the Creative software when switching between XM and Media, but do so without having to leave Centrafuse (and ideally, have it be done automatically altogether). Right now, if I'm listening to an mp3 and want to switch to XM, I have to first minimize CF, go to the Creative control panel, make my change for the setting that sounds best with XM, return to CF and start XM. Same for switching back to mp3.

I know CF alone wouldn't be able to handle the change since it can't talk to the Creative software, but is this something maybe AutoIT could handle? I've never used it but I'm pretty sure I could pick it up quickly. Any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

good idea... maybe a plugin could do this as well, it could poll for which section you are in and make the changes with the API mixer functions possibly...
