my xmd1000 works flawlessly in CF... instant on and all. The only problem i have with the CF setup is the delay in tuning for both xm and hdradio

wow mitch doesnt seem to like CF!

well i got my xmd1000 working again. i actually used your CFID mitch (which worked great btw), and it seemed to jump start my XM again so it would work in CF. all is good now.

i guess XMD1000 isnt that bad... but it sure is hard to troubleshoot sometimes... anyway, as you were

something is wrong with my Sirius now

I unplugged the sirius and usb box and removed them from my car. I then relocated them and plugged them back in, and nothing works. CF can't seem to locate the sirius sc box and i have it all plugged in the same way.

Any ideas? I went to Mitch's site and reread how to install it and double check them and it all seems to be right. then i used the demo and the demo tosses up an error and says can't find the radio.

I am confused, I go into the device manger and I see it and I go into CF and enable the same port as the device manager and still nothing.

Any help would be great thanks guys!

    Phil

if the demo app says it cant find the radio... well.. it cant find the radio

    1st power connected?
    2nd try another computer

3rd.. by chance you wired power wrong, and blew the fuse inside the interface box...
(small white looking thing, in lower corner near notch, that should have 12v on both sides of it)

I've been trying to get my sc-c1 and mjs interface working all day. I'm almost there. I was able to get the demo working. It showed all channels, but no sound. Then I figured out that there was a line-out on the mjs interface! DOH! Now the demo works great with sound. Still can't get Centrafuse 3.1 to see the interface though. I set the device, and port in Centrafuse, but still 0/0 channels.

One thing that might help someone here. I notice some people saying that the demo isn't finding their mjs interface. I had that problem as well until I realized that I had xport running in memory and it was set to use the same port my MJS was using. I killed xport and the device was found almost instantly. I think it should be fine to run xport, just make sure it's not set to the same port as MJS for incoming or any of the virtual ports.

Finally got it working in Centrafuse. It really isn't difficult, more a comedy of errors on my part. Here's a list of things I learned while trying to get this working...

    • the MJS interface has a line-out on it that must be connected to the line-in on your soundcard
    • your soundcard has to be configured to accept line-in (I had quadraphonic set, which gave me front/rear/mic, not good, changed to Stereo mic/front/line-in)
    • in CF you need to set either a recording input (buffered) or playback input (unbuffered), in addition to your device and port. When you select Sirius from the main menu, it won't even scan the sat. for channels until it sees an input connected, so if you don't specify one, you won't see channels.
    • xport may conflict with your MJS port. Make sure xport isn't reading from the same port as your MJS and make sure that MJS isn't using the same as one of your virtual xports

    Hope this helps someone out.
