HiJack, any idea how I can purchase the voices? The Sales page on the neospeech site just takes me to a form to fill out about how big or small my business is...

Here's a link with some voices:
https://www.cepstral.com/
Check out the "Allison" voice, it's near human...
Downloaded and installed one, shows up in list of voices in CF but when CF instructs speech engine to speak when the voice is selected, it doesn't work. Too bad, some of the voices rae pretty nice. If anyone else knows of any places to purchase voice packs, please drop a post...
You can find voice packs and/or TTS Engine from the following companies:
Acapela Group (Infovox product),
Cepstral (already mentioned),
Loquendo (2007 Market Winner Award, I don't know if they have voice-packs, it is the one used by TomTom),
Nuance (their RealSpeak product is used by several voice-pack vendors),
VoiceWare.
For my language (italian) the best are Loquendo and Realspeak (similar to NeoSpeech quality), much better than Cepstral...

Diego.-

Oh you know what, I've got the Acapela voices that came with my Streetdeck DVD. I wonder if I can use those.
Im not sure how Street Cr@p works, but if its a seperate install pack that installs into Microsoft Text to Speech, you should be able to use use it. Infact I think as long as it installs period, it will work.
