we actually had another active user having this exact problem run some tests and he wrote a simple application that listened on the same resume event as Centrafuse does, and it displayed the same behaviour. My guess is that the touchscreen driver is locking the windows event reporting thread on resume (in its own re-initialization), and releases as soon as its touched. Then cf gets it... There's not much we at Flux can do about this one, but we will continue to look into it and take input from everyone to try and figure it out...
Damn that bites. It's not as though it should be some obscure touchscreen driver that I am using, it's just the one that came with my Lili 629-GL. Can anyone recommend a different one to use? I might try uninstalling the touchscreen drivers completely and see if the problem persists.

I uninstalled the touchscreen driver completely so that CF only operates via a mouse and it still exhibits the same problem. Audio only starts once the mouse is moved.

well, that was just my guess, thank you for doing the testing (much appreciated), we know now that that isn't it... i will update you if this other user comes across anything, i think he's actively checking it out... all we know now is thats it happens on only a few systems we know of out of hundereds and hundereds... what kind of mobo, os, do you use?

It's on an Intel Core solo Mac Mini. Surely there are other CF users out there using Mac Minis. Can you confirm this? Hopefully I will get time to do a complete re-install some time this week.

Haven't had time to get round to reinstalling unfortunately. I have reinstalled my touch drivers though and the music no longer skips when resuming, but it does still require me to touch the screen before it starts.

What is curious is that movies start automatically but music doesn't. Are they handled differently somehow?

Don't suppose you CF boffins have any other suggestions on what I can try? This bug is really quite frustrating. I have bluetooth diabled on my machine and re-installed CF withouth the speech kit and bluetooth to try and narrow down what is going wrong but still no luck.

I have got it to comeback from hibernation and resume a couple of times during testing but don't know what I have done to get it to work so can't reproduce it. I think it might have been something to do with the volume or mixer but can't say for sure.

It's just so weird that all of CF just sits there doing nothing after hibernation, but then the clock switches to the correct time, the music starts and the network indication light comes on etc as soon as I move the mouse a millimeter.

this is a weird one and only for a small handful of users, we cannot reproduce and have even ordered similiar hardware as reported users...

we added yet more debug code into our latest RC7 release which can now be downloaded...

we also changed some of the resume code, there is a chance it might work or atleast give us more information...

So if I use the updater now it should pick up RC7 no worries? If so I'll give it a shot tonight and repost the logs.

Also I forgot to mention that I tried some other stand-alone MP3 players and they automatically start playing upon resume so I don't think it's the sound driver not reinitialising properly or anything like that.

RC7 is a full install, not an update... this is due to a new Bluetooth Stack, and the fact that we really need to test this final installer...

Ok cool, will download it tonight when I get home from work.

This is probably useless information but I went for a drive over lunch just then and thought I'd try another experiment. I embedded another mp3 player (Billy) inside CF and got it to start playing an mp3. It started playing fine upon resume after it came back from hibernation.

I also have Capture! embedded in CF for my dashcam. It's weird seeing the camera footage from that playing fine embedded inside CF upon resumption but the CF interface just sitting there frozen the same as when it went into hibernation.
