My name is Jan Bennett and I am the Centrafuse Customer Service Manager. I would like to try and better understand what we can do to meet your needs.

Centrafuse software, like any software on the market that is broad and has many functions and features, requires some configuration. There is no getting around this short of buying a preconfigured system and having Centrafuse installed and configured before the customer ever receives it.

As with any software, the customer is expected to verify they meet the minimum requirements for that software before making a purchase. This also includes learning what dependencies that software has.

The Centrafuse web page outlines all of this. We do not have the ability to include all of the information necessary here on Mp3Car because we do not own nor run the Mp3Car page.

    Regarding a list: http://forums.fluxmedia.net/faq.php?...qroot#faq_faq2

That covers the basics. I guess what you're referring to is a list that covers everything: IF you're running XYZ, THEN you need to do ABC?

That list would be entirely too comprehensive and would land us back in the same situation, no? If the list is too long, people won't read it. Not to mention, most everything is covered in the FAQs already, and if it's not, I'm continuously adding as I come across the need. To if people won't read the FAQ because it's too long, then I'm wondering why they would read a list if it's too long? If you believe I am wrong, please let me know and I'll consider it.

I, like the rest of the FluxMedia team, would like to see Centrafuse be the best it can be. I've been reading through this thread and so far haven't found any specifics about what should be done to fix the apparent issue?

A walk through as in a walk through of setting up Centrafuse? Do you think this would be beneficial since it's really no different than installing a .exe from any other company out there?

There is now a 2.0 manual out, and as with any other software, you should be able to find most configuration questions answered in the manual.

We cannot create a walk through of every configuration out there unfortunately. The developers have tried to make the process of setting up the different modules as easy as possible. For instance, getting your FM radio to work...just go to settings and select the proper settings for your particular device and sound card.

The way each user sets up Centrafuse is completely dependent on your hardware configuration. If you cannot get something to work, just contact support. I'm glad to help out.

Well no one is seemingly standing up for centrafuse here. I think it is a great product! I am a embedded and software designer. I have sirius, bluetooth phone, navigation, internet, the works and have had only minor problems that were fixed with ten minutes of reading. They have fixed all issues in a timely manner. If I ever have a question they quickly get back to me. People need to grow up and realize that not all hardware is going to be supported. That is the way it is. Windows, Linux, and mac cannot support certain hardware. Go complain to them that some hardware doesn't work they will simply ask you if you checked if that hardware is compatible. Did you? Call Microsoft and ask them why they don't support mac files or format. See what they say and do. Probably the same thing that I am doing right now. Laugh. The intro video playing being annoying then click no instead of yes. That was a tough one. I hate to see this company get a bad reputation for an inexperienced user. RTFM and contact customer support before you have such infantile complaints. Thanks Flux for doing a great job!

I agree with you 100%. I in the beginning of the thread I defended CF, but after awhile it gets very tiresome. Once you have a closed minded person stuck on a view that something is bad because they dont know how to use it, thats it, there set and willing to slaughter the companies name. In the past I have had light issues. The main issue was with pairing my phone. I did explode and rant, but after reading the forum I was able to fix the issue. I had a few issues with DVD and Web Browser, and Flux corrected both issues in RC7. Flux keep up the good work!
