Hi,
I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has used Centrafuse XLE in the UK, with particular reference to the maps and useability of the navigation. Either answer here or feel free to pm me.

Hi Colin.... if you have a look over there you'll see my mini review.... any questions post them on that thread and I'll see if I can help.... that been said I'm on the std version at the mo because I want to see the UK maps updated more first - details over there on that though.Originally Posted by colindunscombe

The UK maps are well out of date ('06) at the moment and I've not seen any newer ones anywhere yet.
My advice is to stick with the std version and buy your maps independantly - at least that way you can update at your leisure rather than have to rely on Flux.
The current UK maps that come with 2.0 are Q2 2007

Took the plunge and bought the full navigation version of CF. So far I'm quite happy with it though some of the routing is a bit questionable!
I'll keep you updated on my further experience of the Destinator system.

They should really be q2 2008...... ( assuming the date refers to the published date and not the update date ).

Q2 2008 is not even feasible at this point. It takes a lot longer than a couple or three months to gather all of the data and make it usable.

What maps can i buy to work independantly in Centrafuse? I too have the standard version and heard their own maps were rather out of date

It's not that Centrafuse's maps are out of date, it's that the company that provides the maps are out of date, as is the case with most navigation engines.
