Thread: backup your favorites ?

I would like to know as well as I have roughly 11,000 songs and at least 500 favorites so far. Where is this information saved? Is there a way to set it to the tag as a 5 star rating so other programs could see it too like itunes and what not. I update my music library often and this would be a wonderful feature.

Example: you press the "star/favorite" button and it gives the song a 5-star rating in the ID3 tag. Baddaboom! Then it won't be a prob next time you load the songs, and it will work in other media programs.

when you uninstall say YES to would you like to keep your user settings, and it should save all this data...

it is located in your LocalAppData folder, in XP for example...

That sounds good but, in the directions to install the latest version, we're supposed to wipe that folder off the face of the earth...

Step 5 - Remove CF settings directory from your LocalAppData folder if still there - “Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Centrafuse” directory (vista), or “Documents And Settings\[UserName]\Local Settings\Application Data\Centrafuse” (xp)

So, I'm assuming, if we delete that directory, our settings won't return with the new installation. Is that correct?

that is correct, those are the instructions for a complete uninstall...

it should be ok to leave these, but we were trying to test RC7 as a fresh install as we approuch the final build...

in the future, this is where your settings are stored and can be backed up, but you generally will not have to do anything but answer YES to keep local settings during the uninstall of previous versions...

that is already there, when it uninstalls the previous version it should display a dialog asking if you want to keep your settings, say YES
