Did you tweak the OS at all, or is it an untouched install?

yup, i ran "msconfig" and shut off a lot of services you just wont need. This will make your windows boot a lot faster.

I'm using an Apple mini on intel core 2 duo with windows, i was never a fan of XP which is why i went with windows 7. Loads 5 sec longer vs XP but you can do more on windows 7 then XP which is another reason why i picked windows 7.

    why apple mini...
It uses the less power out of any small system @ less then 80 watts.

People that have installed W7, say it has major power management and hibernation and standby management improvements. They say boot time are super fast. I installed W7 on my Media Center PC, but I didn't have fast start times. I think its the PC though. I'm going to wait till I know everything is confirmed and all my gadgets and CF will work 100%

Dont forget W7 Expires, what you download is just a testing release. I wouldn't install it as your carpc OS unless you like swapping OS's.
