Cannot add to this list

I've looked around pretty hard (not as much on this forum, but others) and can't find out what's wrong. I have centrafuse XLE and want to add some plugins. But when I go into the program to add them (after I've put them in centrafuse/plugins) and click the little "+" thing, I get a dialogue that says:
"Cannot add to the current list." So Now I can't install plugins and such.

How can I fix this?

I don't remember having to add them anywhere after putting them in the plugins folder. Once you restart CF after placing them there, you will usually be able to configure them from the settings (if they have settings to change) and be able to assign a button to them.
