I have no problem using any of my videos or songs on Streetdeck and guess what I don't have to wait 500 years for it to start, the start up time on ver.1 of Centrafuse was bad it got worst with ver 2.

As I said it doesn't move me and it will get worst in ver 3. Yes the nav engine is important to me because guess what I travel places that I need it, and I need for the nav engine to be good. And HiJackZX1 you have just proven my point you say it is difficult for a nav engine to be developed but yet the Streetdeck developers did just that, But you say Centrafuse is better.

And as I understand it from people who have used Centrafuse and given up on it that bluetooth thing is a hit or miss not a feature to be bragged about if you can't use it. We can go back an fourth about which is beter , But as usual its up to the user. But if you are going to charge 79.99 and still use the same bad nav engine that your customers are complaining greatly about, that thing should be damn good they should charge 39.99 just for the software without nav so you can add your own if you like. Streetdeck got complaints about Mappoint 2009 and guess what new nav engine. But like I said Streetdeck has navigation that works and works good not a fly by night nav engine so if it's so difficult to do the Streetdeck team should get some props for doing it Flux must not be working to hard now are they.

OK, I wanted to respond yesterday, but at 2:30 in the morning, I wasn't thinking to good.

BT is not a hit or miss, if you follow the guide lines for it, it works flawlessly. Mind you, you do have to buy a piece of equipment (Phoenix Echo Cancel Card), but with most applications in the Car PC world, you have to buy a product to get it to work. Like I said before, you cant compare CF to SD because SD is a NAV engine that entertains, and CF is a Infotainment software. 79.99, I think , is for Standard, with the ability to embed any Nav Engine into it. I know Destinator is a big let down, I was one of the first to complain, but the fact that FLUX has bent over back wards for us to incorporate the embed feature, was enough for me. There are just so many things that CF can do now, which over shadows the NAV issues. $h!+, if any one really wants the so called flawless SD Nav engine, they can just simply embed that into CF.

PS: The reason SD was able to improve and build a new NAV engine is because they had almost a whole year of abandoning its customers and focusing only on SD2, while customers were forced to use broken SD1. I am sure if FLUX had a whole free year, they could come up with a NAV engine too. Since FLUX does care about their customers, they focus on getting updates out on current issues.

I'm hoping another option works out. See end of this thread: http://forums.fluxmedia.net/wireless...hone-echo.html

^ What he said. It actually works very well and I honestly do not feel that a software version will work. The SoHo is specifically made for conferencing situations that use a large speaker (speakers in our case) and mic in close proximity. This thing gets rid of the echo completely. It doesn't replace your sound card, but is actually an addition for it. It does not need a PCI slot since Salmizar (the post creator) has figured out how to power it via the 5V rail and soldering wires. Check out the thread. I was very skeptical till I finally bought one myself.

Now if CF had decide not to have a cheaper upgrade path for existing user then I could understand your b'tching.
Once the new taurus comes out do mechanics stop fixing the old taurus? No
Once the new CF comes out will CF fix your old one (provide support)? No.
BAD COMPARISON is all im saying.

Thank you for saying that Kevin22, I can walk and chew gum at the same time. Iguidance takes a year to come out with the next version while improving the current version, and so on and so on. Lets all stay together here I am not bashing Centrafuse I just believe they could due way better. The first Streeetdeck was fantastic they took a navigation engine Microsoft Mappiont and the adapted the interface and made it usable for us, what ever went on with Streetdeck 1 had alot to do with MP3cars staff so lets be honest about that, They came back with Streetdeck 2 nav engine better I'm just saying if The centrafuse staff and deelopers can't do that to it's kind of mind boggling. and that bt thing is a hit or miss like I said aI have tried Centrafuse I used ver. 1 for awhile but I liked the nav engine in Streetdeck better I tried ver. 2 of Centrafuse but the load time was horrible and the bt didn't work and was a hit or miss like the bt in Streetdeck 1. it's not hard if your customers don't like destinator why deal with it just like you bashed Streetdeck for leaving customers high and dry so have Centrafuse they know we don't like Destinator but still the develop around it this thing aint new customers have been hating Destinator since ver. 1 are they slow. It's an easy business model, let me helpcontact Inav ask to include Iguidance with there release of Centrafuse and ask for a volume discount, and for our brothers over seas either contact Sygic or Mapfactor so that they will have nav software and develop around them. Simple it aint hard if my dumb *** can think of it they should be able to aswell. Streetdeck managed to get up to date map data from navteq and build a nav engine and Flux can't, but you want me to believe that there better, yeah right.

Just wondering if anyone has tried the 2.2 update and whether trying to use handsfree with CF in the car is at a feasible point? Aka. actually being able to hold a conversation over the phone without the other party being annoyed with all the echo/delay/noise.

Interestingly, it is mentioned that in the future, Echo cancellation/noise reduction will be worked on.

The delay was fixed via the BlueSoliel software. The Echo was fixed by users by installing a echo cancellation card from Phoenix. The Phoenix card is made for conferencing in environments that has a large speaker and Mic in close proximity. Here is the link. I have done this mod and there is no echo. I have not been able to test the delay issue because my car pc is being upgraded even more. Alot of other people have said the delay is gone.

    Echo Fix (works 100%):

There is mention that IVT will eventually get software based Echo cancel, but honestly I have never found software based echo cancel any good. The Hardware mod listed above is the 100% best solution.
